About David Koch Jr.

David Koch Jr.

David Koch Jr. is a Duke University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

Upon graduating in 2021, David returned home to New York City. As a proud resident, he is eager to give back to a city that has given him so many meaningful experiences.

Growing up, David was an avid athlete and sports enthusiast. His passion for athletics continues today and is reflected in his philanthropy. As a young adult, David has enjoyed supporting local baseball teams and organizations that provide young players with opportunities, such as the New York Grays. His foundation has made a transformational donation to his K-8th grade alma mater Allen-Stevenson to fund capital projects including the construction of the new David Koch Jr. '14 Gymnasium.

Additionally, in 2024 with a $20 million gift, the Foundation established the David H. Koch Jr. Glomerular Kidney Center at Columbia University to advance care and treatment for patients with rare kidney diseases.
